The Cotswold’s is a fantastic dog friendly destination to visit and if you’re thinking about having your furry friend join you at Log House Holidays, you won’t regret it. We would love to share why we love having our dog pals on holiday with us, and what makes Log House holidays the perfect place to share this experience together.
There are so many benefits to travelling with your dog. Firstly, it means you don’t have to miss them, which I know for me is a huge weight off my mind. Another big benefit is not having to arrange boarding for them or facing that dreaded drop off moment when you have to say goodbye. It’s so important to make memories and spend quality time with your pooch so where else to do that than your very own idealistic and picturesque beauty spot. Log House Holidays offers complete dog comfortable log cabins on your very own gorgeous Cotswold lake. The perfect place for you and your pooch to have an amazing adventure- whilst bonding over your selfies together!
We have come up with some of the main reasons why we love visiting the lake with our puppy in tow and would love to share these with you.
Life is too short!
Taking your dog on holiday is a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time together with no rushing around! We’ve all been there; you are rushing around in the morning getting ready for work and your pup is waiting for your attention but sadly life gets in the way and you must leave. After work, you have the added time pressure to get your walkies on before the sun goes down. Time goes so fast and before you know it, it’s a rushed walk and sofa cuddles before doing it all again the next day. We are living for the weekend, for those long open-air treks and real quality time. Going away somewhere this beautiful and peaceful is a wonderful opportunity to stop and breathe and give your pet the love and attention they deserve. This really helps with building relationships and connections with them, and your pet will thank you for it with their love and loyalty.
Everything is so much more fun.
The top end dog friendly cabins overlook a truly picturesque lake, perfect for you and your pet to have a well-deserved swim, maybe a kayak together or even adventure out on the rowboats that you’ll find waiting at your log cabin. I know my Spaniels love that fresh morning paddle before their breakfast, (when they’re patient enough to wait for it!) and when we head out on the lake together, they make me laugh so much with their excitement. There’s something special about being on the water, just you and them- and maybe the odd glass of bubbly! I have captured a lot of hilarious moments when we have fallen off the Stand-Up Paddle board together and given my partner a lot of laughs trying to get back on it. With our bouncy aids on of course, it’s been so much fun and the dogs love joining in.
Best of Both worlds
It’s not just us who deserves a bit of the finer things in life, let’s face it our dogs would probably say the same. The log cabins are warm, inviting and luxurious with hot tubs on each of the decks. Being in the wilderness is a joy to behold and the outdoor area is amazing for new sniffs for your dog. The many nearby walks are fabulous for tiring you both out. You’ll find your dog will be happy to relax as much as you, after long walks, lots of swimming and getting together around the fire pit for some toasty treats. Being here really is the perfect mix of outdoor fun and luxury relaxation time. Using all your energy in adventuring and then winding down in the evening, feeling pampered and at peace – your dog will truly thank you for it.
Try New Things
When I’ve got a dog by my side, I know I’m confident to try new things, somehow new opportunities seem to open around me that I would never have thought of before. My dog challenges me and forces me to be the motivated and adventurous holiday maker that I crave to be. There is nothing more exciting than finding a new beauty spot for a picnic, a beautiful new scenery to admire or a fun new game to play with your best friend by your side. Seeing your holiday through your dog’s eyes can really help with enjoying the smaller things that being at the lake has to offer – even if it is just a sleepy dognap by the fire side in the evening, your dog makes it easier to find those new experiences and enjoy them even more.
I would absolutely recommend visiting the Log House Holidays and I’m certain your pooch will agree. So why not make a flask of hot tea, take the boat out and make some new memories together. It’s time to really slow down and enjoy your time together on a unique dog friendly holiday in the Cotswold’s.
