Hidden away at the end of a winding gravel drive, through the magnificent Poplar Grove making for a spectacular entrance to your Cotswold getaway. The perfect cabin for a romantic couple looking for something extra special or a memorable family holiday. A decked veranda wraps around two sides of the house and features a traditional Finnish wooden hot tub (optional), providing unforgettable moments all year round. Watch the sunset and the moon rise over the water from this perfectly chosen spot. You will also find an open pit BBQ and outdoor furniture for alfresco dining. A winding path along to your private beach then takes you past a fire pit area to a private pier and rowing boat. Be sure to start each day with a coffee from the swing chair, perching on the lake edge, between two trees.
The open plan living area and kitchen boasts unspoilt panoramic half-mile views down the lake’s length. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cater for family feasts or a simple meal for two. Keno is always a cosy place to be whatever the season, with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove to gather around.
The ground floor hosts a large bathroom with walk in shower, or venture up the handmade oak staircase to find a luxurious roll top bath set under a large skylight. The spacious master bedroom looks out onto the lake with its own balcony to enjoy the sunrise views – you won’t find a better view to start each day with.

We’ve stayed in some beautiful places over the years, but Keno Lodge is, without question, the most magical place we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt ourselves completely exhale. The peace, the setting, the attention to detail, the wildlife, the lake, the craftsmanship of the lodge… it all comes together to create something incredibly special.
For a few days, the outside world simply disappeared. We laughed, swam, paddleboarded, sat around the fire, watched the sunsets and the stars, and made memories that I know our family will talk about for years to come. It felt less like a holiday and more like a gift.
We’ve already decided this won’t be a one-off. We want coming to Log House Holidays to become a family ritual—something we return to year after year. There really is nowhere quite like it.

We are so excited to have installed our first Rocket Bee Hive this week with the help of @_beekindhives_. These beautiful hives emulate cavities in old trees which are the ideal site for wild honey bee colonies.
With all of our 50,000 trees having been planted in the last 50 years this is a vital part of habitat that we are still missing. Supporting wild bees in this way allows them to become stronger and more resilient as they exist in their natural state and perform their vital role of pollination.
