Elsa Lodge
Sleeps 4
Hot Tub – Row Boat – Fire Pit and Log Burner – Private Beach – Pet Friendly
A private driveway leads to Elsa, positioned beautifully behind silver birch trees and wildflowers, through which the lake can be enjoyed. This part of the nature reserve has large areas of reed bed which is home to much of our inhabitant wildlife – so keep a look out for the otters and unusual birds. Glass doors open out from the kitchen to the decked veranda, linked by gravel paths through the silver birch trees to a private beach and hanging swing chair. The decking is the perfect place to wine and dine during the day or on a summer’s evening. Sunken into the deck is a steaming Finnish hot tub (optional) where memorable sunrises and evening stargazing can be enjoyed. Complete with private jetty and row boat – thought to be one of the best fishing spots on the lake.
Leading off through the reeds a foot bridge takes you to a private island with beach and raised fire pit. A great place to enjoy the sunset from whilst toasting some marshmallows. This house is near our 4 acre wild flower meadow, great for guests with children, or those seeking a pet friendly holiday cottage with lots of nearby walks.
Inside the cabin is an open plan living area with cosy wood burning stove, dining table and kitchen, all in view of the stunning outlook. The house is furnished in a homely style with beautiful antique furniture and artwork. The cabin has a modern bathroom featuring powerful shower, bath and luxury towels. The open plan English country style kitchen is designed and finished with modern appliances needed to cater for a stylish dinner or a simple meal for two.

Overdue some of this? Make the magic happen.
Such a lovely sight to see the second successful brood of the season for this resident kingfisher family. Make sure to listen and lookout for the magic of these wonderful birds as they dart and fish their way around the nature reserve…
Time well spent at Island Lodge…
A place for sunrise hot tubs, sunset fire pits and all the lake adventures in between. Always a good bet for otter encounters and front row seats to wonder at the long list of birds that call our lake home. Book a few days away and look forward to some magical moments.
Moments of joy…
The lake is a magical place for little ones to explore, discover, learn and grow. From first adventures to teenage memories, there’s something here for every age and every generation.
It’s a place where families can return year after year, creating memories together and watching little ones grow up along the way.
Seeing newborns become toddlers, children and eventually teenagers has been one of the greatest pleasures for us to witness.
Here’s to many more moments of joy, laughter and family memories by the lake…
This is summer at the lake. Come and join the fun, recharge in nature and discover those special memories…
