Dolcetti technically make Italian gelato – ice-cream’s creamier (and tastier) friend.
This family-run parlour in Cirencester hand makes every 5 litre batch with love, passion and all of the traditional methods you’d find in an Italian counterpart. The best thing is they use locally-sourced ingredients and live by the great philosophy of “from cow to cone in a day”. Creamy milk comes from only 4 miles away from the Edingvale herd of pedigree holstein cows. Before choosing one of the many flavours on offer (see below), peer through the viewing window to see production in process.
Rob Gibson who started Dolcetti has an interesting story himself. Back in 1984 he fell in love with Gelato in South Africa. After mastering the art of making it he went on to establish the largest chain of ice cream parlours in the country. Subsequently Rob moved to the beautiful Cotswolds and set up shop in March 2013.
