Mayo Landing

Set on its own private island in the centre of the 100 acre lake, Mayo Landing is our largest cabin; designed for large families and holidays with friends. It features a private heated swimming pool (optional) making it the ultimate luxury getaway all year round. A totally unique location used for several magazine and clothing photoshoots! Accessed only by crossing the private bridge, you’ll find a covered veranda wrapping around the house on three sides. Spectacular views surround the house from all angles with outdoor furniture, a swing chair and BBQ so you can make the most of the beautiful vistas with some memorable al fresco dining. Enjoy dinner in the romantic sunken garden where trained plane trees and hanging candles create a unique setting. Next to the sunken garden a private beach has also been created for long summer afternoons down by the lake.

Mayo Landing boasts a large log sauna (optional) and walkway that takes you down to the steaming Finnish hot tub, positioned blissfully on the lake’s edge to catch the sun and moon rises over the water. Across the large lawn area, a private jetty and rowing boat awaits – the ideal spot for fishing or wild swimming. Perched on the end of the point, with water all around, sits the outdoor fire pit.

The open plan ground floor includes a fully equipped English country style kitchen with a double oven and gas-fired range. The kitchen leads through to the dining area and on into the living room, framed by the inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are two ground floor bedrooms, a wet room with large walk in shower, and utility room. The handmade wooden staircase leads to three large bedrooms, and one single bedroom. There are two stylish bathrooms upstairs, with the master bedroom featuring a roll top bath set beneath a stargazing window. The first level also has two spacious balconies which feature rocking chairs and a seating area – the ideal spot to have breakfast or practise some morning yoga.
