Island Lodge is one of our best cabins for spotting the abundant wildlife on the lake, being surrounded by water on two sides. With a number of gravel islands and reed beds in front of the house, guests can enjoy the beauty of a breeding tern colony as well as regular otter sightings from the hot tub. Stunning sunrises over the islands in front of this house are often commented on by our guests. Hidden away, you arrive at the cabin through a winding gravel drive with complete privacy during your stay.
This cabin boasts a cosy open plan living area with a wood burning stove and comfy sofas for lazy days. The homely kitchen contains everything needed for cooking up delicious feasts, while enjoying the outlook of breathtaking views. The cabin features a modern bathroom with powerful shower, bath and luxury towels.
Glass doors open out from the kitchen to the decked veranda with steps down to its own jetty and row boat. A secluded outdoor space with traditional Finnish hot tub (optional), along with outdoor furniture for alfresco dining. There’s never been a better place to BBQ too with your open pit griddle right next to the lake’s edge. Stepping out from the decking leads to a private beach and fire pit area where special memories are waiting to be made. Start each day from the swing seat savouring sunrises over the lake and planning adventures to fill your days!

It’s a place where families can return year after year, creating memories together and watching little ones grow up along the way.
Seeing newborns become toddlers, children and eventually teenagers has been one of the greatest pleasures for us to witness.

We’ve stayed in some beautiful places over the years, but Keno Lodge is, without question, the most magical place we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt ourselves completely exhale.
