Just returned from our holiday on the lake. The Cotswolds is still the best place in England! Great food, great sights, great walks! And so much history too. We can’t wait to come back!

Explore The Rich Heritage Of The Local Area
The nearby historic towns of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Tetbury and Cirencester are great for an afternoon out. The well-known Georgian towns of Bath and Cheltenham are also easily accessible for day trips. These quaint Cotswold towns boast an assortment of antique dens, trendy fashion boutiques and delicious farmers markets. There’s so much to experience – from cream teas in on a summer escape to warming ales in classic English pubs on a cosy winter break. The source of the Thames is also just 2 miles from us (literally where it bubbles out of the ground!) and is a great walk. We provide a welcome pack in every cabin, which is full of great ideas to explore the surrounding areas and it lists the best places to eat, drink, walk, cycle and explore. So if you’re after a Cotswold cottage holiday with plenty to do, book your stay with Log House Holidays.
Book Your Luxury Retreat
All of our luxury lake lodges have been carefully designed with open living areas, stylish bathrooms and contemporary kitchens; the perfect cosy retreat after a day in the Cotswolds. Your kitchen is fitted with everything you’ll need to put together an impressive meal for everyone with all of your foraged Cotswold produce (if you are looking for the best local farm produce to cook, with we think The Organic Farm Shop is the best place to shop). In warmer months, your large lakeside veranda with its open pit BBQ and wooden table is a lovely place for relaxed, al fresco dining, plus each cabin has its own wooden hot tub so you can unwind with a glass of wine and soak up the spectacular lake views.
Fun Things To Do On The Lake
The Cotswolds is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty but you don’t even need to leave your cabin to spot endless nature and enjoy stunning surroundings. Use your cabin’s binoculars to get up close to the unusual birds, resident otter family, deer and many tree varieties that turned our site into a Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) in 1991. Our guests love exploring the many coves and islands with their own rowing boat and whether you want to enjoy an afternoon trying to catch a fish or you want to take a walk around the lakeside nature trails, there’s plenty here for everyone. We are a dog friendly holiday site too so the whole family can enjoy time away. Bikes and kayaks can also be hired for those who want a more energetic holiday.
